Elementary Cycle
Through a safe and caring environment, Albayan Schools offer experiences that encourage a love of learning during your child’s formative years. Through a unique and successful approach, we help build a structured, yet passionate academic experience.
Grades 1 through 6 are divided into two cycles. The first is for children aged 6 to 8 years old, while the second is for children aged 9 to 11 years old. This allows us to meet specific goals with students based on their age as well as their abilities.
Albayan elementary students are exposed to a rich curriculum that covers a structured academic experience that is complemented by life experiences including field trips and extracurricular activities, such as theater and arts.
Students in both cycles are taught science, maths, and other fundamental subjects such as Arabic, English, and French. Parents can choose either English or French to be their primary language, with the other being taught as a secondary language, giving all students the opportunity to receive instruction in three languages. Students who study in French will be required to take the DELF Exam at the French Embassy in Lebanon.
We have found that a continuous evaluation system has proven more beneficial for students than an exhausting midterm exam-based system. This has led to remarkable advancement for our students in everything from the sciences to social skills without the strain of mid-year testing.
To help our continuous evaluation system provide the most benefit for your child, please follow up on his or her agenda and encourage your young one to take each assignment seriously. Every assignment counts and will thus be graded in conjunction with the student’s ongoing evaluation.
